EU grants for renewable energy investment projects - RES

In our Sejm there is an ongoing discussion on the changes that are necessary in the law relating to Renewable Energy Sources, and at the same time the fate of EU subsidies for projects related to this are also important. It is known that the direction of EU support will also change. Non-repayable aid will be available to entrepreneurs from SMEs and large companies, who, through such investments, will build greater energy efficiency from the use of energy produced for their own use.

Sold

Until now, many companies have operated in such a way that excess energy produced has been sold. The current support mechanism in favour of such producers is based on green certificates. However, the new form assumes a slightly different auction system, in which investors will have to declare the amount for which they will create energy in the future. The change in the regulations is supposed to make such a declaration as much as 15 years ahead. Thanks to the funds obtained, they could offer significantly lower energy prices than their competitors.

The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management has already declared the limitations of subsidizing large projects, which will be focused on production and sale, in order to protect themselves against distortion of auction prices. Maintaining a uniform level of competitiveness and renewable energy requires a reduction in investment grants for energy production.

Acquiring funds for companies

Don't sell - use it!

Amendments to the RES Act will not mean restrictions for those who want to invest in such renewable energy systems for their own use. The legislator provides an alternative solution, which consists in supporting projects aimed at greater energy efficiency of companies.

Such a measure also has other benefits, including the diversification of renewable sources and will increase the energy independence of the business sector as well as the number of investments in renewable energy sources. We are also obliged to do so by the EU energy requirements and the National Action Plan. Currently, our compatriots want to put on the sun. You can count on the fact that this type of energy will develop very well and we will use it more and more often.
